There is a website for the 2008 Cuckoo Fleadh in Kinvara, Co Galway at www.cuckoofleadh.com , but there is no info up yet, just something about the poster. Is it going ahead? It's happening inext week, so they need to speed things up a little. ( Then again, it is Kinvara!)
I saw my first poster in Kinvara yesterday - so it's definitely on! These things don't tend tend to happen quite this close to the event, but there are different people organising it this year, so that may be why.
By the way, I'll be playing in a session in Tully's on the Friday night if any 'dot orgers' want to pop in for a few tunes and say hello!
I hear Siobhan Peoples, Jackie Daly, Andrew McNamara, Paul O'Shaughnessy, Dermy Diamond, John Rynne, Ronan O' Flaherty, Maura O'Keeffe and Terry Bingham are just some of the players who will be performing. Should be good! The link by the way, is www.cuckoofleadh.com.
You can download the programme from that website. Although the main website has info, it hasn't got the programme! It looks like the original design of the poster wasn't approved so it had to be redesigned, which would possibly explain the delays.
