... does anyone know anything about them? I played a beautiful one at a session the other night was wondering if there is a way to contact the makers. Do they have a website? Does anyone know an approximate price for a nice tenor?
I've heard the name pop up from time to time, but know nothing about them for the most part. Apparently, they are made by a guy named Doole in Geelong, and they're all made to order.
my friend, you're in luck [gives smarmy smile and rubs hands together]
I have just the thing you seek but wouldn't part with it for love or money, as they say. But for you, my good friend ...
Seriously now, Pat Do'ole has retired from the hand-made banjo game and Ray Black has taken over his mantle. Ray had a stand at the National this year where he had Do'ole banjos for sale. He makes some lovely mandolins too. You can contact Ray in Victoria on (03) 5264-5282 or fwcfarmer@yahoo.com
Cam, if you want to try my Do'ole, I'll have it at Saturday night's ceili at the Harp.
Ian, thanks for you help. It will be a long while before I have the money to upgrade but I'd love to see your one anyone! Also, might see what sort of prices Ray Black charges.

Possibly one for sale here, but likely it's already been sold http://www.guitarrepairers.com/instruments/banjos/feb06/1.html
Might also post over on banjohangout's forums, the name has at least been mentioned over there a few times. Some people there might know him.
