I'm going to Brittany in July to a place called La Fontenelle which is about 40 miles north of Rennes. We are booked to play at a festival and we're trying to find other gigs.
Does anyone know of any pubs that would be up for a visit in the near vicinity?
Our gig's on Sat 19th July.
I found a suitable place in Dinan which seems perfect but there's no email address to be found.
In Saint Malo, try O'Flaherty's (0)2 99 81 48 08, or Pub Saint Patrick (0)2 99 81 48 08. They both welcome Irish musicians, and have either informal sessions or concerts, occasionally. Good luck. Saint Malo is your best bet in the area. Good luck.
Rennes has quite a few sessions but the best I have been to are @ the westport and @ O'Carolans both of them are mentioned in detail on the session part of this website
