I can't see it catching on at sessions - even one person sessions. I doubt it will ever gain entry into Fleadh competitions even as a group entry. But I may be wrong.

But I have also read that, except for the solid-body electrics, such instruments tend to self-destruct over time. Too many stresses from too many weird angles.

The instrument is as pointless as yelling "Who's your Daddy" on your wedding night in an Elderado, Texas polygamst compound.
John Paul Jones on the other hand would be most interested in playing upon such a idea.
