Yeah very expensive. They do look the mutts nuts but don't know anyone who's tried one.

Re: paddy clancy

I did email Paddy Clancy in Febuary 2007 about his prices and this was his exact reply:

"Hello Kevin,
Thank you for your email regarding my accordions,
The price of the silver finish 3 voice is €3500.00 euro, I do not do the 3 voice in gold as I have had no call for it but the 4 voice is the model that customers get the gold plating on, the goldplated 4 voice model is €5500.00 the price I know is high but the parts that are goldplated are very expensive, now if you really want the 3 voice goldplated it can be done but you are looking at a longer wait for the instrument and the price is €4500.00, i have a 3 voice 2 coupler 8 bass siliver finish in the workshop and it is going to be a demo for my showroom, now if you are looking to get an accordion quick that would be up and running in a few weeks time, the wood finish is Brazilian Mohogany and the bellows is black inside and out, let me know if you are interested, and we can take it from there,"

All the best,
Paddy Clancy

Re: paddy clancy

I only heard a Paddy Clancy accordion twice and only one of those times, can I vividly remember my impression.

I asked her (the box player) the name of her box because I thought it had a lovely tone and she said: "It's a Paddy Clancy."

This one had a heavy tone (at least 3 voice) with 2 couplers. I'm not a box player so I'm not 100% certain on the technical issues and sorts but they certainly look and sound like the bees knees to me.
