hi there
is there any fiddle players in the galway area playing in the east galway style and available for a couple of lessons?
i ll be a good student i swear!
I see Breda Keville is down to teach at the Skerries festival which I know is a bit away from you, but if she is up for teaching there, then maybe she is available to teach at otther times?
Liz or Yvonne Kane are a good bet aswell, their number should be on their website and they give lessons around galway city and county. the only thing is tho is that they usually have a waiting list as long as a wet week so get urself "on the books" asap!!
i asked breda before and she s not taking more students, shame cause i just adore her style... and skerries s a bit far alrite...we ll see. thanks anyways i ll keep looking!

Re: east galway fiddlers
"Liz and Yvonne Kane are from Connemara, not East Galway."
eh right, but the original question was about style and not where they live: "in the galway area playing in the east galway style".
I know where they live as Ive visited the girls on a couple of occasions for a few lessons and tunes, thanks.
Hope you found a teacher Justabloke! Ádh mór leis an cheol!!
