jmi mag/ The Journal of Music in Ireland: Ireland's Bi-monthly music magazine. Do you read it? Know about it?

All,
I had an inquiry from a reader regarding who on this list might read JMI mag? It was in regard to my post of March 24/08 on the question: Has ITM done nothing new in the last 30 yrs except repeat itself? My post contained an interview with Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh from jmi mag in 07.

My question is: Does anyone on this list read the mag itself or know much about it or have friends who read it? Any opinions on its content? I'd be interested. [I myself do not read it. And only recently found out about it]. Here's a run down about what it is from JMI's Web page. It certainly seems like a great mag. [Being a mag editor myself I guess I have a hunch about good ones. ;)]. Here's the descrip:

Ireland's Bi-Monthly Music Magazine
JMI – The Journal of Music in Ireland was founded in November 2000 by musician Toner Quinn on his return to Ireland from Scotland where he studied publishing.

The aim was twofold: firstly, to launch a music magazine that took a more in-depth approach to discussing musical life in Ireland, and secondly to bring together new writing and ideas on traditional, classical, contemporary and improvised music in Ireland.

JMI has gained a reputation as a lively forum for debate and discussion; comprising first-rate contributors, intelligent but accessible writing, and presented in a cutting-edge design by Art Director Simon O'Connor, winner of the 2006 PPAI 'Magazine Designer of the Year' award for his work on JMI.

It follows that JMI has attracted a broad, influential readership, including leading traditional, jazz and classical musicians and composers, music lecturers and teachers, broadcasters, arts officers and managers, music producers and promoters, music students and researchers, and those worldwide with a serious interest in Irish musical life.

I just got a subscription - worth the price just for Ciaran Carson's column! And thanks mtodd for the Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh thread - that was great reading too.
