Yesterday, I wanted to treat myself and put new Infeldt Super Flexibles on my fiddle. However, now I can't play the two highest strings anymore. Especially with the e-string my bow can't get a grip. I am sure it has nothing to do with my bow, because it definitely has enough rosin on. Have you ever experienced something like this? Were the strings probably old? And do I have a chance that the strings will settle after a couple of days? I don't want to buy another new set.
Did you try another kind of rosin?!? Some types of rosin have more "grip" than others, and their properties also depends on the ambient humidity and temperature...

Re: Problem with new strings
No, I only changed the strings. Everything else was the same as before.

Re: Problem with new strings
Perhaps super flexibility isn't such a good idea when it comes to fiddle strings?

More practice, better fiddle?
