Visiting Cork City April 23-30 --would appreciate some inputs...

Hi all, I have just got a great deal with Ryanair to Cork from Stansted uk, two seats/return for £0.2 each! (Plus £4 booking fee) for the week of April 23rd-30th one for me and one for banjo. (the deal is open until Monday night for anyone interested http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/cheapflights.php?dest=ORK&base=STN )

Would really appreciate some inputs for sessions in Cork City and also hostel accomodation. Have looked at the Hostel World website and the Bru Bar & Hostel looks to be a pretty good bet. Can anyone provide any helpful tips for both sessions and hostels etc.

My last vist was to Galway in January and the tips I got for that were great, thanks for that , so I'm hoping for a bit more of the same.... Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

I don't often get to sessions in Cork city as I am down in West Cork, but my daughter suggests Spailpín Fanach, Mon. nights, Charlie's Sun. afternoons, and the Corner House, most nights. The other suggestion is to pick up a copy of Whazon, free guide when you're in Cork, which lists these and others and has a map showing where they are.

Thanks for the info Cathy, it's great to have first hand info and I'll certainly look these places up.
Thanks again.
