Hi, I'm looking for some musicians who would be interested in teaching music with an established music school from Belfast.
We are doing classes in Aghagallon but having trouble finding someone to teach fiddle and we also need another tutor for guitar. (teaching beginners - mostly kids but a few adults have joined in the classes).
I know there has to be more musicians out there in the Lurgan / Crumlin / Glenavy / Moira direction but they must be hiding! (Even maybe Lisburn)
If anyone has any ideas i'd greatly appreciate some feedback (marionkerr@hotmail.co.uk) .... we'd love to continue with these classes but if we don't find someone from the area, we might have to cancel them!
I know Alison Crossey is from Lurgan or out that direction and plays a mean trad guitar, Geardy Thompson is another name that springs to mind from there?
Try and catch the Mullholland bros / John Mackle / Mark ??? sessions around that crumlin/glenavy/moira triangle and some of them will be able to give you more names?
