O'Neill's PDF document query

O'Neill's PDF document query

The introduction to the brilliant PDF document O'Neill's The Dance Music of Ireland says that "clicking on a title will play the
corresponding MIDI file if your computer is configured with a default MIDI player". How do I configure my computer with a default player? At present, Windows Media Player plays any other midi files I have, but no joy with the O'Neill's tunes. Any help greatly appreciated.

Ooh! I don't know the answer to your query, but could you post the link to this document please?

Re: O'Neill's PDF document query

I had a similar problem with the digital tradition database and got the midis to finally work after installing quicktime and fumbling around with the controls. Don't know if that helps.

Re: O'Neill's PDF document query

Most likely Windows Media Player is your default player. Have you tried clicking on a title to see what happens? (I would think it would automatically launch Windows Media Player...)

Re: O'Neill's PDF document query

I hate quicktime! Whenever I try to play a video it completely brings my machine to a halt.

Re: O'Neill's PDF document query

just google in "o'neill's pdf". It was one of the first few links. Harmer, I agree quicktime works strangely sometimes for videos but it works just fine for me as midi default.

Re: O'Neill's PDF document query

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. The fault was entirely my own: I hadn't extracted the files from the zipped folder. Amadán!
