Try Mike Mullen in Dublin (Tel: +35318479985). He made my case. I've heard that Pegasus Cases in Scotland are good too.

I just heard another horror story yesterday. A local bluegrass player--quite a good one, btw--hit some black ice in his station wagon (estate car) and rolled it. His two fiddles, in hardshell cases behind the front seats, survived intact. But his two acoustic guitars and mandolin, all in padded gig bags in the cargo area, were completely destroyed by his amp. Nothing but splinters left, as if they had been tossed into a gravel crusher. Something to think about, if you are considering one of those lightweight foam cases for your pride and joy....
Sometimes you can find them in ordinary hardware stores, alongside hinges and whatnot, as they are often similar to what is used on trunks and storage chests.
Help! Instrument case repair.
Help! Instrument case repair.
Hi all,
I have a broken case lock on my hard case and have searched the net all over for a supplier of replacement catches to no avail.
Has anyone any info on a UK supplier of lockable case latches. Anyone?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Help! Instrument case repair.
That happened to my violin case, I had to carry hair pins with me to open it and now it's completely broken. Good thing a don't need to lock it.
