Has anyone discovered a way of going straight to the tune page you want? I have been working through the pages searching for new and inspiring tunes but each time I view a tune I am the sent back to the first page of the tunes. I know one can keep clicking on on the "next" button but when you are up to page 40 plus this gets very tedious!
Hmm, not sure what you mean. Do you mean from scrolling through the tunes in the tune section, and then when you look at a specific tune, hitting the Back button on your browser sends you back to the first page of tunes?
When I do that (or click on the The Session >> Tunes link at the top of the page), I am always sent back to the page of tunes I was at before.
The difference might be a function of the browser. Which browser are you using? I am using Safari on a Mac.
With newer versions of IE, you right-click the link and select that option. The original page stays open, and a new tab (internal window, kind of) appears with the new page on it.
I don't know how other browsers do this. It isn't available in older browsers.
Thanks for all the help. My problem is now solved!! If I hit the Back button I do go back to the first page of tunes, BUT hitting The Session >> Tunes as someone suggested, takes me back to the page I was on. Ann

Re: going straight to the desired tune page
Just open the links for the tunes in new tabs.

Re: going straight to the desired tune page
BTW, you can cheat by looking at the link on the page numbers. So, for instance, if you are just browsing the tunes, you can use:
http://www.thesession.org/tunes/index/new?new_start=120
which would put you on the 13th page of tunes (10 tunes per page)
Or if you're searching,
http://www.thesession.org/tunes/index/search?search_start=50&name=road
Which would put you on the 6th page of tunes that have the word "road" in the title...

Re: going straight to the desired tune page
If your browser doesn't support tabs, it's probably 7+ years old (e.g. Internet Explorer 6).

Re: going straight to the desired tune page
Here's another way to explore ~ go to FAQs ~
http://www.thesession.org/members/index/faqs
Click on the 'Tunebook' tab...

Re: going straight to the desired tune page
When you find a tune you want to look at, use right-click Open in new window to open the tune, thus leaving the window with the tune list unchanged
