Just figured out how to post a discussion!Anyway im entering the upcoming Leitrim Fleadh (26th april) in Drumsna and its my first year in the senior fiddle....im in need of some nice tunes and would greatly appriciate any suggestions!
My ideas so far were
Jig: Paddy Fahy's (cbc 'dcb cge ,ceg....etc)
Hornpipe: Lad O'Beirnes
Reel: O'Dowds Favourite
Im thinking about having a lash at the flute and harp also so if you've any ideas stick them in too!!
Maybe this I put into Youtube - slow + fast= Reel http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SoUDMkAtA_8
or This old Hornpipe played Slow +fast= http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yzRIYcjbVY4
Or woo them with Charlie Lennon Compositions..
and if this fails play them one of their own tunes=

The Windmill is a nice tune I'm learning on flute right now. Tricky, but lovely.
