Just a quick post to the brave bodhran players on thesession board. Sorry to weigh in with an announcement, I do read the board and bite hard on my virtual tongue
Bodojo has just started to accept items and bids on its new bodhran-specific auction. I'm sure eBay won't miss our business Auctions are commission free in February and sales under $10 are always commission free.
I've had lots of great sessions in the past few months, usually at the Garrick with Desy, Darragh, Ryan, Brother and the guys. Paul Phillips introduced me there a few days before he died and I'm very much enjoying being musically active outside of the band. I've had a couple of sessions with Breandan in recent months too, it's always a pleasure.
Anyway thanks for reading and for your patience, if you have a drum or drum stuff to sell or buy, you might want to swing by and see what is on offer before going to ebay.
Just to update this thread - the bodhran auction software proved to have been unsuitable in practise and the auction have been subsumed [is that a real word] into the new site www.tradauction.com which even allows melody players to participate and we don't slag y'all much either. I'm sure spoons will be on the menu at some point too.
I'll make sure that McKnowall is mentioned on the bodhran auction site. Oops no it's gone LOL
