I am interested to order perfect quality bodhran - tunable, both for studio and gigs usage.
I can recieve it in Finland or Germany.
But I don't know anyone but Seamus O’Kane (http://www.tradcentre.com/seamus/) yet.
Anyway that guy does not anwer and I believe that his price would be really big.
So I am interested to have bodhran made by good Irish maker and need some recomendation.
I think it should not cost less than 200EUR
Sure you don't want to take advantage of our terribly weak dollar?
Mike Quinlan in Chicago is now making his drums for $250, which is about 135 euros right now... and they're fantastic drums.
I'll second the Hedwitschak drums, they're awesome. I have a Rolf Wagels edition which is the best drum I've played. Not cheap though unless you go for his basic or light lines.

He's German, not Irish, but Christian Hedwitschak certainly makes really good bodhrans:

2 reenactor yes but shipping is a trouble - it will eat a lot
You're a bit wrong about difference between USD and EUR anyway
myrddin
Oh yes, I know him I suppose but he is more expansive of course
And harder to select

The above should get you Eamon Maguire of Belfast, excellent drums, reasonably priced. Certainly 200 euros.
Or just google Eanon Maguire, and you can get his e-mail address.

Darius Bartlett, Norbert Eckermann, or Seamus O'Kane would be who I would go to for a good bodhran in Europe.

I second Brendan White, great instrumenst lives in Holland, beautiful skins and played by many of the greats!
I even saw a couple of them being used in movie soundtracks!!!
Top Quality

Evikki, I looked up the conversion immediately before I posted. Perhaps you didn't?

heh, but that still doesn't save me from typing errors, apparently
It's still a deal on a drum.
