While digitizing all my old 33s, I came across an album from a band called 'Quilty'- Joe McHugh on pipes, Malcolm Wray on Bouzouki, Ian Stevenson on mandoline and Eamonn Toland on guitar.
The album was recorded in '79 by Escalibur Records in Dublin. A quick google search did not yield much. Do you have any info about this band or what its members are currently up to?
Just to round off the where-are-they-now topic, Malcolm last heard of in Brittany. Ian is also in France, not sure if it's Brittany or close to that area. Both of them still making music, though Ian is doing more singing now due to a touch of arthritis. For Joe check his site www.joemchugh.net.
Ian lives in France (La Rochelle)and Malcolm shares his time btw La Rochelle and Ireland. They no longer play with the piper you mention as far as I know. They played with a French fiddler for a while. I did a few gigs with them over the las years. The band is not really active at the moment.
