Celtic Music Radio, a community radio station based in Glasgow, was officially launched today. We can be heard on 1530kHz in Central Scotland, and worldwide on http:/www.celticmusicradio.net
After our official launch, we produced a live "outside broadcast" from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, covering the parade and launch of the 2008 Celtic Connections festival.
We will be providing live coverage of many aspects of the festival this year, as well as our studio-based programs. The timetable varies from day to day, but a typical weekday schedule will include:
08.00 - Bob's breakfast show
11.00 - Mark Sheridan's "Festival Focus" - reviews, previews, and interviews with performers.
12.30 - Iain Anderson in Conversation - live from the festival stage.
13.30 - Hotchkiss Hotchpotch with Gordon Hotchkiss live from the Exhibition Hall of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with special live performances from the Scottish Power stage.
17.00 - Live coverage of all performances at the "Dannys" - the Danny Kyle open stage
19:00 - "In Town Tonight" - previews of the evening's gigs.
20.00 - Songs of Scotland, Live from the Universal Club, Sauchiehall Lane.
(all UK time)

Re: Celtic Music Radio - 1530AM in Central Scotland
Oops - that's now fixed. Thanks for pointing it out.
We've now been broadcasting for 2 days, and have had some very supportive feedback. Tonight's session from the "Dannys" was pretty good - performers were the finalists from last year. The set from "The Chair" - formerly "Lazy Boy Chair" - was excellent!

Re: Celtic Music Radio - 1530AM in Central Scotland
where did you get the "commedia.net" address - it's incorrect. It should be "icecast.commedia.org.uk..."
