Re: concertina- looking for wan

I highly recommend the Rochelle! For the money it is hard to beat.

The other thing about the Rochelle is, the maker will give you a full refund when/if you upgrade to one of his professional models.

My experience with it has been a happy one. I am already, after one year, playing off the standard C scale in Dmajor and Gmajor and Aminor.

These little 30 button Anglos almost play themselves!

Re: concertina- looking for wan

Hohners and Sutherlands(not sure of spelling) would be your basic beginner concertinas, not the best quality (buttons tend to stick a lot) but would suit a beginner just fine. Prices go from about €300.

Re: concertina- looking for wan

Most of the Anglo players out there will tell you for that money to go for the Rochelle. It's the best in the price range by far.

Re: concertina- looking for wan

Ask Custy's in Ennis - know a thing or two about people looking for starter concertinas, it's a fair bet.

Re: concertina- looking for wan

look at a rochelle - you won't have problems with one of them and they are re-sellable when you move on.
