Im considering selling my Peter Cox bouzouki as I don't play it nearly enough and would prefer to put the money towards a better fiddle. It has a carved cedar top and walnut back and sides, mahogany neck and maple fingerboard. Not quite sure what to ask for it though, thats why im putting this up. If I couldn't get a decent amount for it, Id just keep it.
What do you think an instrument like this should go for, reasonably? I paid very little for it as the shop was going out of business and I was in the right place at the right time. The instrument plays beautifully and has a very woody, bouzouki-like tone with lots of twang and whatnot.
I'm definitely interested in getting a bouzouki, but yours is probably out of my price range. All the same, let me know if you figure out a price you're asking for. And not sure how long you've been playing, but let me know if you want any ideas for a better fiddle.
