Midi to notation can be difficult, it can contain timings that notation can not represent and lacks many notational aspects. In practice, simple tunes entered into say a staff on a music program tend to convert reasonably but other stuff, particularly "human playing" may turn out a mess.
Also different software may make different guesses as to how to display notation from a midi. I did a test during a discussion elesewhere using software I had.

Midi to sheet music software
Can anyone refer me to a free software which will convert a midi file to sheet music.
I downloaded Notation Player but I wasn't too happy with the results.

Re: Midi to sheet music software
I use garageband to convert midi to mp3, then learn it by ear.

Re: Midi to sheet music software
Sibelius is very good at doing this. Watch your settings tho'
It's also really deep what you can do with the tune once in the program too.
