Just a quick line to all guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, and Cittern players out there who are looking for a new case for their instrument..
My fibreglass "Pegasus" Cittern case arrived this morning from Sam Gifford in Scotland.....And I am over the moon with it!
It was custom made by Sam for my Sobell to the highest standard of materials and workmanship, and it helped alot that Sam happens to be the friendly sort. A true gentleman.
I took a bit of a gamble, as I had only ever seen pictures, and heard good words of them...but never in the flesh.
They really are 1st class cases, and the Cittern fits perfect, nice and snug.
I have a Calton case for my Crump bouzouki, which is about 3yrs old, and has never let me down, but the "Pegasus" is lighter, stronger, alot easier on the eye, and really supports the instrument from every angle possible and takes its shape more.
He does a range of interior and exterior finishes, to suit every taste, and mine took about 5 weeks, from ordering to delivery.
