Very exotic sounding... if you are going for the "world music" thing, then it works. Even on the trad tune, it doesn't remind me of Irish music at all... but it doesn't seem like thats what you are going for. You are part of a band that is organized enough to get into a recording studio and thats exciting!
I'd like to clarify my earliest post, with my poor command of the French language - even though it's not completely traditonal, I don't care - I like this band.

Any shrewd people here to tell me, honestly, what they think about this (new tunes from my band in Brittany)? It will help me to take decisions.

Thanks in advance...

Tres bien, avec les arrangements intelligents et amusants, mais peut-etre pas completement "traditionnel" - mais je ne soigne pas. Dig the diggery-do.

Perhaps a Tuvan throat singer would complete the picture

How cool would it be to have one of those in your band?
I guess I'd dump the comping guitar (or whatever that is). Too cliché and it isn't really creating a rhythmic foundation. You have enough choppy articulations going on with multiple instruments blasting the <gulp> Celtic flavored melodies. If you can't hire a few Tuvans, something with a lot of upper partial harmonics and sustained tone might balance out the lower Aboriginal drones - a hurdy gurdy maybe. You can't have too much droning with a name like "fiddledrone", right?

Fantastic music!
A bit strange is the blend of very traditional and well known tunes with the driving new way of arrangement.
Love it!
