Grand old de Danann videos on YouTube

Just in time for Christmas, some worthy has posted half a dozen old videos of DeDanann on YouTube, the first link of which is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUnSUfw0WGc
Click on the user's name for the others. This was a truly grand band who played diddley exactly the way I like it, rapidly, articulately, with soul and the infectious lift that gets your toes tapping involuntarily.

First Ive heard this old De Danann stuff, Frankie G's fiddlin is pretty nice. Different than what Ive heard him play recently.

Great stuff. You have to love the bow ties. And there's a surreal feel to the boat videos. Great to hear Charlie's banjo playing - not a lot of that available.

Thanks

Re: Grand old de Danann videos on YouTube

I believe it's called The Tap Room and is followed by Lord Ramsay's Reel. On the Mist Covered Mountain LP/CD they are preceded by Langstrom's Pony in the last set.

Re: Grand old de Danann videos on YouTube

Just today I was looking at that CD Mist Covered Mountain and saw the set with Lord Ramsey's reel preceded by The Tap Room, so I was wondering if that was the one. Thanks Kevin 'gess I've got work to do!
