I am obsessed. I must have some. I hate the rosin I've been using for the past 4 years or so, and need an upgrade.. so I started poking around on google, and started reading about Tartini green, how it's been discontinued, how wonderful it is .. etc etc. now I desprately want some. :] go figure.
Not really wanting to start another giant rosin discussion, but if anyone has any suggestions as to either where I could find this illustrious green tree sap, or alternatives that deliver the same qualitys that seem to make this so high in demand.
I think you're right to think rosin makes a difference.
Tartini Green is good - or rather, was. The person who came up with the formula, Andreas Bang, has had various people manufacture it but relationships haven't always been fantastic, with the result that this product was available, and then wasn't, and then re-emerged as Andrea Rosin. I believe the Andrea rosin production is now in question too!
Shame, as it really is fantastic. If you can get hold of some suggest you try the Vivaldi rosin, which is a small-size sampler version of the bigger Andrea rosin, and a very similar formulation to the Tartini Green. I don't believe anyone has any of the Tartini Green anymore.
Is this really a thread about rosin? It reads more like a discussion between potheads!
I've an ounce of Tartini Green, cut with a subtle blend of celeriac and Lebanese fan-dancer's toenail clippings. If anyone's interested, leave a message in the usual locker at Heuston.
Sunnybear, YOU DO??!!!! I don't have any Bernardel or Milant Deroux- but heck, I'd go out and buy a cake of one of those for you if you've got the green stuff!!!! :] I'm quite serious..

It is barely used. I
A lot of folks like it and that'sok. I just prefer Bernardel or Milant Deroux.
