All,
Does anyone know if the english translation of the irish words to Iarla O'Lionaird's sean nos songs on Seven Steps are published anywhere? i couldn't source them in the discussions archive here nor in IRTRAD archives for that matter, although i saw similar inquiries there from the year 2000
if anyone has any ideas about where to look i'd be much obliged.

Most of the tracks recorded on Iarla Ó Lionáird's 'Seven Steps to Mercy' CD are 'big songs' from the Irish tradition. Virtually all are available in translation at The Mudcat Café - http://www.mudcat.org. All you need to do is search for one the words in the song's title, e.g. 'gamhna'.
The site Chloe mentioned - http://babelfish.altavista.com/ - does not translate material from Gaelic, in any of its forms, to English.

The english lyrics of the last two tracks (of 7 steps) are on the CD booklet of "Music Of Dreams" which he recorded with Tony McMahon & Noel Hill
