I'll be bringing my tenor banjo and fiddle to Nashville this week (11/22 thru 11/29) and wondering if anyone is around and wants to get together for some tunes. I'm just there visiting for the week from California. Contact me if you want to play!

I've never been myself, but my daughter passed through on the way to a month's course in ecological living at The Farm, and found the place pretty weird. On the other hand, she'd never shown the slightest interest in Country, so she had no background knowledge.
I'd recommended she watch Robert Altman's movie before she went, but she didn't even have that satire to go on....
Well, my b/f is a fiddler for a country singer there and HAS to live there and so I'm going out to visit him. He's on the road on Fri/Sat so I'll be "home alone" and was hoping to find some folks to play with. I know I've seen a few folks on this site from there. Where are y'all??
I'm about 100 miles away. There are some players in Nashville, but I don't know where the sessions are. Isla used to be a great local band. I saw a few members at a Kevin Burke concert at the Station Inn, and the place was sold out. You might try the Nashville Oldtime String Band association website for a contact. Good luck,
Had some tunes with Frank O' Hashiguchi from Nashville in Toronto many moons ago. He plays mandolin and I think he's secretary of the Nashville Comhaltas Chapter. The Tel. number I had for him was 615-228-7001. He might be able to point you in the right direction.
hi Shelley. It's me, Kathy from 9/8 Irish... I was just in Nashville. My friend Chris who I stayed with plays some Irish and she's got a group that gets together once a week or month or something. Email me and I can try to get you connected (if you don't know my email send via Linda & Chris...)
