My sympathies to your being in the "absolutely worst place" for pursuing Irish music. Try my part of New Hampshire -- 'tis but a Celtic desert, with few oases and far apart. For a session, I need drive at least an hour each way on a weeknight, or twice as long on a weekend. Not much fun.
I live in the Plymouth area. A few open mike nights around if I feel like playing or jamming, but no sessions, and definately no pipers nearby that I have found.
I note that you are in Bridgton, not far from North Conway, NH. There is a session there on Sundays I have been to a couple of times, when I have the gas money that is. Rather friendly, not too fast it seemed to me, and a nice place.

Are there any uillean pipers in New Hampshire, USA who would be willing to help a novice piper? I would gladly pay for the lessons.
