G'day to the session.com!
I'm a fiddler/GH piper (soon to be u-piper...woo!) from newcastle, NSW Australia. At the moment, we have ONE ITM session per month! And congrats to all those who have contributed thus far. However. I'd like to see returns for people keen to build off the already existing, close-knit group of dedicated tunes-folk, and set up a by-weekly, or even weekly thing.
Please!!!! We need more tunes in Newie!!!!!
The local ABC radio station will do a plug if you wander in with a couple of instruments, do an interview, play a tune and watch the switchboard light up.
Just find another venue and time first.
Yeah, Chris does show up to grind out a few tunes every now and then, often with Catherine on her auto-harp hurdy-girdy-ish thingy, which is always great.
Hmm, I like the ABC idea...
Anyone who's heard Chris Duncan on the fiddle knows that he plays tunefully and sweetly, so perhaps writing 'to grind out a few tunes' was an unfortunate turn of phrase.
On the other hand, he might do some grinding in his day job as a motor mechanic!

Re: Newcastle, Australia
You've got a great Scottish fiddler, Chris Duncan, there in Newcastle (NSW), so don't limit yourself to "ITM" for tunes
