Just wondering what kind of fiddling community we have around Burlington, Onatario. I am thinking of starting up a session/playing nihgt at the Queens Head Pub on Brant Street in Burlington and was wondering if there is any interest?
There arent too many out this way in Hamilton, other than myself, my girlfriend on the button box, geraldine quinn on PA , Celeste Atkinson on the badron and a few guitar players. Burlington might be good in that you might get people from out Toronto way or even down from Kitchener areas. Why not come out to one of the Hamilton sessions? Tuesday is your best bet as I run the Wednesday one and it is intermittent at best these days.
Id come out to burlington whenever I could, so PM me if you do start it up.
There's an Irish session every Saturday afternoon (4-8PM) in downtown Buffalo - our neighbors in Burlington & Hamilton are certainly welcome to join us here.
I live on Vancouver Island, but my family lives in your area. When I visit there I would drop in. If you get out this way, Fiddlejam is a local weekly drop in fiddling session. Here is the web site… http://www.fiddlejam.ca/
