The Session >> Discussions >> Tech help please
I've got a new pc (or to be honest, I wiped the disk and reinstalled windows) but now I find I can't get TG4 or comhaltas live to play. Transatlantic Session on RTE is ok though.
What am I missing??
Thanks

I've got that. When I tried youtube it told me I might not have javascript turned on. How would I do that?
well im no tech im afraid, you have java installed? try the java control panel.
Have just installed from java.com and that's not making the difference either! Thanks very much all the same though.
What about your security settings on your browzer?
Can't see anything obvious there. But I have been having a look at this forum ( http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=44&catid=184&threadid=1306291&enterthread=y#4733909 ) and from that it seems to be not uncommon. I'm just trying out the Adobe guy's fix but it hasn't worked yet. I'm sure it has to be something simple though.
Will get back if I can get it to work. Thanks again!
Download the flash player http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Enabling javascript happens in internet settings -> security -> internet -> custom level -> active scripting -> enabled
But that should come that way "out of the box" on a fresh windows install, I think.

I have this problem too, but only with TG4. I've got flash and javascript is enabled etc etc. Windows media player appears but then won't 'play'.

"I have this problem too, but only with TG4." You have to fiddle with the four options on the TG4 site until you find one which actually plays.

ok thanks ... I shall try that at the next free - and sober - opportunity!

All sorted - it was something to do with the security settings, which I tinkered with, and after that I was able to download flash player.
Thanks everyone!
