No need to take offence you lot down there in Cork, this is just the title of a newly composed hornpipe by Cavan's Martin Donohoe!
Now’s your chance to see Martin Donohoe in action playing "The Pocar" (see http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/7286), and the singer who inspired it, Seán Ó Sé from Cork. No doubt Seán, who performed with the legendary O’Riada Ceoltóirí Cualann group in the Gaeity Theatre back in the sixties, will also include “An Poc ar Buile” amongst his repertoire, a song with a great sing-along chorus. Martin and Seán are part of the Comhaltas American concert tour group who’ll be performing for the next couple of weeks at the venues listed below.

Re: Seán Ó Sé, The Pocar ?
Bannerman, I know it would be quite a bit of work, but could you add each of these concerts to the events section?
'Twould be much appreciated.

Re: Seán Ó Sé, The Pocar ?
I'll definitely have a go at it Jeremy when I get an hour or two to spare.
In the meantime I located the RTE page (http://www.rte.ie/radio1/ceilihouse/1043815.html) where last Saturday's Céilí House programme of 6th October featuring the American Tour group is featured. Also another foretaste of what's in store can be seen over at http://comhaltas.ie/music/detail/comhaltaslive_200_4_martin_donohoe/ where Martin Donohoe plays "The Pocar" hornpipe
