Spudgrubbers need tune player

Spudgrubbers need tune player

This almost famous Irish Australian band are looking for a fiddle or whistle player to augment the current line-up which consists of bass bodhran, tenor bodhran soprano bodhran and DAGDAD guitar.
Only one instrument will be selected as we find that any more than one melody player seems to muddy up the sound and the accurate timing provided by the engine room.
This great opportunity has only appeared due to the unfortunate mental illness of the last tune player so be quick! (not just in the easy bits of a tune)

Re: Spudgrubbers need tune player

I play a mean duck-call....Sounds especially good in John Ryan's Polka. I think I can make it work in your (our, if you will have me) little band. Will the expense of my move be covered?

Re: Spudgrubbers need tune player

I was in a session the other night sitting among three bodhrans, one on my left, two on my right . I started this submission to put in words the sensation of it. Words, however, escape me.

Are you going to duck my call over the duck call or the expenses? If it is the call, ask anyone here in my area and they will tell you that I can get down (under?) on a wooden salad set instead.

Re: Spudgrubbers need tune player

I should in all fairness keep the position open for a day or three to thoroughly consider all applications.
In regard to removal expenses, if you play one bum note you will be removed Howzat?

Re: Spudgrubbers need tune player

me, me, choose me, choose me. I even could buy a shakey egg to augment the drum solos. Can you play 'Over the hill and far away' by the Goatskinners?

Re: Spudgrubbers need tune player

They do in Australia, just like duckbills and kangaroos.

~ Made a lamb beg... :-/

"Please, don't cut off my leg and roast it, I need it to frolic about!"

"Please, don't skin me Mr. bodhran man, lambskin makes for a lousy drum skin."
