Re: Have the urge to play both your neighbor's whistle and your own?
I met these two at the fleadh in Letterkenny last year!! They're class really--we met up again at CIAW and I was told about this video. Small world, isn't it? They're both good musicians and friends. If you guys are on here anyplace--Hey from Boston!
Re: Have the urge to play both your neighbor's whistle and your own?
Oh, also wanted to mention that this discussion is what prompted me to sign up for thesession! I've been an avid lurker for some time, but just hadn't signed up...until I read this thread and saw it was the video of my friends. So I guess these are my first 2 official posts! Hello to session.org members, I hope anything I post here will be of some assistance/interest to anybody, anywhere. Cheers!

I once played "The Bucks of Oranmore" on the whistle, while Brendy Mulholland stood behind me, providing his fingers. I was quite pleaseed with the result.

I imagine playing two whistles at once is best when one is in D and the other is in Eb.
That way, you'll be in tune with one of the guitarists.

Used to play a D and a G at the same time. Why? I have no idea.

I sometimes play 2 D whistles taped together with a small spacer at the bottom, takes a bit of getting used too but interesting sound. Loud too.
