Many of you will have heard that the Eddie Duffy Mick Hoy Festival was cancelled due to lack of volunteers to organise.
However, a squad of about 25-30 musicians have decided that the tunes must go on and there will be great tunes to be had on the weekend of 12th to 14th October.
It just goes to show that where there is a will there is a way.

Brendan....how r ya? You will be pleased to know that the derrygonnelly festival is officially back on. We got word about 2 weeks ago that a committee had been set up again. Would defo be a terrible sin to see this great festival die!
Yep - I got confirmation from a couple of our contacts that Liam Elliott is taking on the reins and that invites to the usual suspects will be winging out shortly.
All thanks to Mary Molloy for refusing to let it die the death and thanks to the Fermanagh ones for stepping up to the mark.
And as we speak, the letter arrived on the doormat. Maybe not funded as well as in previous years, but it will go ahead in some shape between 12th and 14th October. Can't wait.
Just stumbled across this site as I searched for info on my hometown's festival. I'll be heading back from NYC for the craic in October. Like you've all been saying it is officially back on for 2007...I have all the inside scoop from back home...see you all there!

I'll see you all there. It would be criminal if such a fantastic festival was to die. Well done for keeping it alive.
