I just left the "Fiddler's Retreat" down near Thurles (County Tipperary) and had a GREAT time. If you ever want to get fiddle lessons in the morning, go sightseeing in the afternoon, and go to sessions at night, you should plan to go. It's put on by Theresa Burke who is a fine fiddler and equally wonderful cook. Almost all meals are included and you wouldn't want to miss one!
Hi Larry I also spent a week with Theresa last year at Fiddlers Retreat and also had a fabulous time. My playing has come on leaps and bounds and I still listen and work on the tunes that I recorded Theresa playing. I will be going back at some point for sure.

Heading back to the states in the morning, and I'm not sure if I'm more happy that I'm going home or more sad to be leaving Ireland.

I was there in mid-july.....
BEST TRIP EVER!!!!!!!
It was SOOOO much fun and I learned some awesome tunes!
I am definitley going back next summer.
