Depends on the key of the accordion, manufacturer, and probably the phases of the moon when it was produced......and even then, I can't remember ever seeing 16 bass buttons on a box used in this type of music....so someone else will have to take it from there, once you provide us more info....
Could someone tell me where to go to catch a good session in West London. Moved over recently to Ealing & haven't seen any around here. Anywhere really thats fairly lively & theres no hassle joining in??
I agree with M Yrs bc - Not enough scope on there for many tunes unless of course you have never played a piano accordion and you just want to learn the scales and a few simple tunes. The basses on there will give you the same note in or out. Sixteen bass will probably give you (from the bottom working up towards your chin) Bb bass Bb chord
F bass - F chord / C bass - C chord / G bass - G chord / D bass -D chord/ A bass - A chord/ E bass - E chord/ F# bass F# chord. or something like that
I've just noticed that you have the instrument down as a button accordion. A button accordion has buttons on the right hand side (the keyboard side) The one shown has piano keys on the right hand side, hence Piano Accordion. Ref the minor basses -There there would have to be another row of basses fitted to give you minors

I just got a vintage accordion actually, its beautiful but the problem is that the keyboard needs a lot of repair....so I'm kind of in a predicament of whether I should get this repaired, which may be really pricey, or get a refund and buy a newer one, but it would be smaller.... beh.
any advice?
Your "box " is what is called a 25/16bass ( a variation on a 25/12 ). Relatively useless, except to a small child. The lower end of the scale is short of the C, which starts many tunes.
The bass end might be Eb, Bb, F, C, G, D, A, & E ( bass & chord ea. ). A New 26/12 @ only £140 or even a 30/24 ( £160 apr ) would be a lot a better investment, or even the 2nd hand. Why buy / spend good money on " nothing " . The 30 treble gives one a reasonale range to attack a good many tunes.

No use for ITM as keyboard stops at top G - 2 whole tones short of what you'd usually need.
