Fiddle tutor in / around Castlebar, Mayo

I am flying to Mayo for a week soon and would love an hour or so practice with a fiddler / tutor for some pointers etc. as I am teaching myself in isolation where I am living at the moment. Will be happy for any recommendations and will pay the going rate. It will save me looking in the telephone directory.

here's some names of fiddlers from tha region, unfortunatly dont have contact numbers. John McEvilly, John Kilkenny, John McHugh. There three fiddlers i know of from mayo dont know where they are in connection to castlebar hope this helps

try john hoban! i don t have his number but you can look him up on the net. he s great. very traditional, a far cry from the modern type of teaching. he teaches by ear, doesnt pressurize you into silly bowing schemes or technique. he has his own philosphy of music
