Dirty Linen

Hey There Everybody! Thanks to all for the great tunes. So many tunes, so little time! I'm looking for tune called Dirty Linen your help is much appreciated.I know I'm to keep tune requests to a minimum, so this will be the last time I ask.I've searched the net and can't even find a reference. Perhaps it is listed under another name?
Thanks again one and all.

Re: Dirty Linen

I've heard of that one before. I know it by another name.

Re: Dirty Linen

All I know of, is a 'Dirty Linen Medley', to be found in the book 'Dave Swarbrick takes a bow'. Funny enough though, the medley doesn't contain a tune called Dirty Linen ... so that may have caused the confusion: it's possibly not a tune name , but a medley name.

Re: Dirty Linen

Are you sure you're not thinking of 'Waste in the Bedding?'

Re: Dirty Linen

i think you may be able to find it in the Fairport Convention tunebook 1, but dont take my word for it though...

Re: Dirty Linen

the Dirty Linen medley is on Fairport Convention's Full House CD. There are 4 tunes: A slip jig called Paddy be easy, a reel The merry blacksmith, a slip jig Drops of brandy and another tune mentionned as a Carolan Song (?) in Swarbricks tune book.

Re: Dirty Linen

Paul-leray got there just before me, - the last tune sounds to me like a fast reel version of "Pol Ha'penny".

Re: Dirty Linen

Thank you. Yes indeed Dirty Linen is the set name and the tune I was looking for is the first one in the set. Paddy be easy? Great! I haven't had the Dave Swarbrick off of the self much, actually, I'd forgotten it was there. Thanks again for your help.
