I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, as B/C and C#/D two-row boxes seem to rule in ITM.
For one-row instruments, which key is the lowest-pitched and which the highest? My assumption was that C was the lowest pitched, followed by D, and with G and A higher still. But that's based on tremolo harmonicas and not actual knowledge.

G and A are nromally lower than D.
An A that was higher than D would get up into the dog-whistle spectrum in the upper reaches.

the one row, as far as the hohner models go, usually are from lowest to highest G, A, C, D etc. A high G melodeon would be a bit squeaky
