Could anyone tell me a bit about the story and origin of the air "O Oganaigh An Chuil Chraobhaigh"? I would appreciate it as I plan to play it in the All Ireland.
The lyrics of the song version are on the sleeve notes of Eilis Kennedy's cd http://cdbaby.com/cd/eiliskennedy2 Perhaps some kind soul might hav a copy of it and pass it on. That's if the lyrics have any bearing on the story of the tune ( They might well have come later)
Oganaigh an ChĂșil Chraobhaigh ( O Fine Haired Youth)
o oganaigh an chuil chraobhaigh
o oganaigh an chuil chraobhaigh
