hapless australian seeks fun and sessions in edinburgh and glasgow
hiya!
I've come from the rainy East Coast of Australia to rainy england ,
(nearly washed out in Chesterfield...i got to see Back of the Moon and Salsa Celtica, but the next day we dragged a fifteen foot sound and lighting rig through a muddy field because the bloody van would've got bogged on the turf...come to the uk, they said, its sunny here, they said...)
i'm traveling through edinbrough from the 30th and glasgow straight after - and i'll be lookin for some tunes...i've no idea really re glasgow except for st andrews.... in edinburgh im going to Mr Cambells 60th at Sandy Bells....
and i know all you irish tunes aficionado's can be exclusive at times but i'm really looking for some ballads singing. I'm so tired of the singers stuff being relegated to folk clubs and poorly mic'd, falteringly mc'd, semi-formal events...we have sessions too, y'know..
give me some pints and some tunes and harmonies and i'll be happy. Have guitar, will travel.
I'll be around Ireland and the North after that too.
I've loads of festival experience too so if anyone needs a hand with an event, just post a reply, or send me a txt. Uk ph no is

Check out the Tuesday night session in Sandy Bells. They LOVE ballad singers with guitars. They'll never want you to leave. Do you play the bodhran too?

If you want singing sessions in Glasgow then try Uisge Beatha or Morrison's Bar if you are in town on those days (both are in the sessions section).
