Music addiction as Disability

Music addiction as Disability

This is a strange bit of information.
http://www.thelocal.se/7650/
It seems that in Sweden, addiction to Heavy Metal Music is officially recognised as a disability.
I wonder if those afflicted with ITM might be eligible for some sort of care.

Only if they let me take my fiddle with me into the hospital.

Re: Music addiction as Disability

My employer already considers my music addiction as a disability............now if I could just get them to convince the disability insurance company to pay me to stay home and play the fiddle.

Take 2 shakey eggs and call me in the morning.

Re: Music addiction as Disability

The kicker is that the shaky eggs are actually suppositories

Re: Music addiction as Disability

That explains why I was told to put my shakey eggs where I was told to put them last time I took them to a session. :-)

Re: Music addiction as Disability

Tempting--but a dangerous road to take, I think. What if they insisted that you go to "music rehab"? (Ever seen the movie A Clockwork Orange?)

Re: Music addiction as Disability

For Irish members, the Department of Social and Family Affairs website details the allowances payable to people with disabilities. The allowance is paid to anybody who meets these requirements
"Disability Allowance is a weekly allowance paid to people with a disability who are aged 16 or over and under age 66. Your disability must be expected to last for at least one year and the allowance is subject to both a medical suitability and a means test."
I feel a relapse comming on!

If ever you see "Clockwork Orange" you'll probably never feel quite the same again about the music of Beethoven :-)
