No...not a compilation tape for the car. Does anyone know where I can get a VCR copy of "The Green Shoes" starring Porky Pig? Porky goes to Ireland, there is a storm and he finds himself in a haunted castle with two leprechauns who put the green shoes on him and he can't stop dancing jigs. VERY Trippy artwork, and the usual WB orchestral take on the Irishwasherwoman. I did have a copy but lent my tape to someone years ago. It also had the "Blue Racer" in "Swinging Shillaelaeghs" (sic). Any other fav cartoons with Irish music in them anyone?
Well, there's no Irish music (as of yet), but my favorite cartoon has to be Home Star Runner. http://www.homestarrunner.com Go to toons, then features, then emails...They're the best. But only if you have a weird sense of humor. Like me.
Ok...I looooooooove Looney Tunes...so I'll share what came up in my stuff:
Porky Pig in "The Wearing of the Grin"
Warner Bros. Cartoons, Inc.

Warner Bros. Cartoons, Inc.

Originally Released Theatrically.

USA
Featuring: Porky, Shamus O'Toole.
Vocal Talent: Mel Blanc.

Produced by Edward Selzer.
Animated by Lloyd Vaughan, Ben Washam, Ken Harris, Phil Monroe.
Written by Michael Maltese.
Music: Eugene Poddany.
Orchestrations: Milt Franklyn.
Layouts: Robert Gribbroek.
Backgrounds: Phil DeGuard
Synopsis:
On his way to Dublin-town, Porky spends the night in a leprechaun-haunted castle.
Available in these collections:
Warner Brothers Cartoons, Golden Jubilee, 24 Karat Collection, released 1985, discontinued 1992
Looney Tunes After Dark Ghoul Ghost and Goblin Cartoon Classics, 1993 Laserdisc Edition...expensive at auction!
Porky Pig's Screwball Comedies, appears in compressed time format (sped up from original speed so action is faster, sound is pitched higher)
Various releasers: Warner Brothers, Columbia House, Time Life & Ted Turner through MGM
Best bet to find it is on ebay or similar. It appears on there frequently because it's in sought-after compilations. The After Dark laserdisc is expensive, but you can find the 24 Karat set for less. You probably wouldn't like the Screwball because of the quality.
Nah...thanks to Gore's internet creation, magic is possible with the mind of a fig (in my next life, I'll actually be one). Actually...I posted a widdled-down version of what I have.

Re: Cartunes
Sounds like a classic! That would be "The Wearing of the Grin".
Not sure where you can get a copy - but you
can "vote for it", whatever that means at the following site:
