Jim - you're a member of this website. Why wouldn't you post the ABC's?
Do you feel obliged to get the non-abc'ed ones posted?
If you're not too confident with the ABC's - anyone else, a good ABCer, able to help? (Not me, I'm crap at them.) They'd need to know the tunes though.
I also went through your two CDs and added any of your alternate spellings for tunes to the 'also known as' section for the tunes so more of yours will now have linked up to 'something', hopefully the right something... Others I was unsure of I left alone...
Jim, don't forget that according to the rules here a member is allowed to submit only one new tune in any one day, so getting several tunes onto the database will take that member several days (as many days as there are tunes, in fact). The way round this is to collaborate with other people so that each person submits one of the tunes, then the rules are being observed and several tunes can get submitted over one or two days.
Another common problem is that you can submit a recording and you know darn well that a particular tune is on the tunes database, but then you notice it isn't being picked up by the listing in the recording submission - even if the name on the tunes database is apparently identical in all respects to the name in the recording submission. I don't know for sure why this should be so, but I suspect it may be that one or the other name has a "hidden" character or two in the database which prevents them from being seen by the (i.e. Jeremy's) computer as truly identical.
The solution to this problem, which works for me, is to copy and paste the name from the recording details into the tune's details in the tune database as a further name of the tune (even if it appears to be identical to what is already there). As far as the computer is concerned the two entries in the tunes and recordings databases will now be identical and honour will be satisfied.
Good point lazyhound, seeing as there are different apostrophes, for one example, depending on what keyboard setting you're using, and there a few, start counting contries...
Also, FIDDLE4 needs to start earning his points so he can also add some of his own inspirations... At least he has that consideration and is to be comended for it...
what to do?
what to do?
I've noticed on our cd's posted to this site-
"Haste to the Wedding"
"Take To The Floor"
http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/923
"For As Many As Will"
http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/1786
