Anyone been? I will be in Ireland Christmas week and was thinking about making my way to Dingle for the festival. Any advice about Dingle at Christmas? Thanks.
Try for accommodations with Tim and Eileen Collins, well in advance. Lovely, generous and gracious hosts, and Eileen is a fine cook, as well. We never go to the Dingle without spending time with them. First class "humanity" , these folks, if there was ever a "class" by which to be measured .
I was told by an Wren-boy (no, not a rent-boy) - When you come back from the pub, don't forget to put your coat on inside out and back to front then the little folk can't put a spell on you.
You might also look like Frankenstein's monster if you stagger about in the dark with outstretched arms.
The accommodation thing is tough. I've been all over the internet for a week, and have finally found something available in Dingle itself (not interested in risking a drink-driving incident).
Didn't know about the coat thing. Don't want the little people on my case, so I'll give it a try!
Thanks!
My family and i are traveling to Dingle from the US for Christmas and for Wren's day wondering what accomodations you found and what is open from the 23rd of December through the 26th? Any information is appreciated.

Re: Dingle Wren?
Yes! Don't rely on accommodation!
Most places shut down over the Christmas and you could find yourself out in the cold.
Literally.
