Re: Left-handed Freshwater Octave Mandolin for sale
Hi Patrick. I saw your email to my hotmail account. This instrument would be easy to convert to right handed. All you need to do is switch out the nut and bridge. Most instrument shops can do this type of repair for about $30. And it's already got the side position dots on the side for a right handed person because Freshwater put them on that side for some reason when building it. Incidentally, I just talked to Dave this morning and told him I was thinking of selling. He mentioned that he is not currently accepting orders from the USA due to exchange rates and shipping costs so now is a good chance for someone in the states to get one of his instruments at a great price...without having to wait!
Re: Left-handed Freshwater Octave Mandolin for sale
If this instrument has conventional bracing, it is NOT easy to convert from a right handed to lefty, or the converse. That's the reason instruments are sold as left or right handed! It would probably need the attention of a good luthier. Anyhow , why are you selling a new hand made instrument?

Lanny,
I am interested in the octo. Does it have a movable bridge?
And can you send more pictures?
Thanks, Patrick
