Sorry dinn2, I haven't the recording or I might be able to help, many highlands are classic Scottish strathspeys... If I had the music I'd gladly chase up a name or two or more for you... You could try a search in using a bar of music in ABC notation under the 'Advanced' tab of the tunes section, or send me a couple of bars and I might be able to pin names on them...

That one is known by some as either "Gan Ainm" or "Jimmy Lyon's"
Weird, so far, doing just an initial search, I don't find either of these on site, which surprises the hell out of me. I know, it shouldn't, but it does...
Forgot to say ~ those three were possibilities for building a set ~
"Seaweed On The Yellow Cliff"
"The Miller O' Hirn" ~ kissin' 'highland' cousins
"Jimmy Lyon's"
I'm still seeking the first one, which may also still be here, though I've searched so far in 3 keys, swung and unswung, meaning with and without the >... If I don't find it in the long run I'll add it. I also want to possibly check my own notes, a real task...
3!? ~ and I thought from the start of this you were only after two. Here they are:
1.) "Frank Cassidy's" / "The Laird O' Thrums"
~ highland fling / strathspey
Key signature: Amajor

3.) "The Brown-Sailed Boat" / "Peter Baillie"

Key signature: E Dorian

Whew! ~ Be glad I saw it first. If you want any help with ABCs, and a lot of us recommend it as something to gain and have as an option, just ask.
For just starters, is this what you mean for #1?:

Of course, it would have swing, but here is a notation approximation of it, minus that swing, or the >s...
