I am not posting this in the events section because I am looking for some info on this festival which is on in October. They haven't listed this year's artists but had FrankieG and Noel Hill last year which aint bad.
Anyone know the organisers or something about them?
Why? Because I'll be in Ireland at a loose end for the first half of October.
hi Donough,
John here, one of the organisers. The fest takes place this year from 4th to 7th October. weve an exciting line up again with Arcady supported by Jackie Daly Manus mcGuire and Garry O'Brian on Sat 6th, in the main concert. The Strokestown park house recitals this year are Sean keane(Chieftains) with Steve Cooney, probably Fri nite, and matt Molloy with john Carty on Sat evening. The Ceili on Sun afternoon is by Shaskeen. Weve a range of workshops on Sat with the likes of micheal o'Raghallaigh(concertina),Harry Bradley(flute) Gavin Whelan(whistle)Tony Smith(fiddle) plus many more. Thgursday 4th will feature a seminar and Thursday nite we ve "a mighty night of NYAH" concert with Mr NYAH,Martin Donohoe, Seamus Fay,Patsy Hanly,Tony Smith,Padraig o'Reilly and kieran Hanrahan(TBC). The weekend will as usual, feature some of the best sessions in Ireland in a great town for trad sessions.

Hi John
I didn't expect such a fantastic reply straight from the horse's (pardon the expression) mouth. It looks like a great line-up for the weekend.
I'll be there.
Where would you recommend staying?
Is there a guitar workshop included in the plans??
