Great musicians, great friends, great craic all around.
I'm not bragging here - it's the people that come in and play and sing and joke and share stories that make it so. It's nothing to do with me - I just happen to be lucky enough.
My vote is for the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Deerfield Beach, Florida: no paycheck, minimal tips, and you get to compete with that wonderful soundtrack which no one in management seems to know how to shut off! Dinner is free of charge, of course.
Err.. excuse me, it appears that I have yet again walked into the wrong thread. This one seems to be calling for the *best* ITM venue..
I played in Matt Molloys twice its a very welcomeing place ,Gary Hastings and the Hickey Family especially were very nice. Can be a bit loud . but theres trad there every night not many places can boast this. The Spailpin Fanach in Cork has trad 6 nights a week , (mighty session there last friday night).
It is, indeed, Brian. Just had two sold-out shows with Kevin Burke and Cal Scott! Angelina Carberry & Martin Quinn are coming in June and the Kane Sisters in July!

Re: Top Venue
How could anyone have visited enough venues in a lifetime to know the answer?

Re: Top Venue
As everyone in Ireland knows, the answer is "Ah, if only you'd been here last night!".
